What types of collagen are included in the Multi Collagen powder?Updated a month ago

Orgain’s Multi-Collagen Peptides Powder represents a broader spectrum of five of the most common and well understood collagen types for a more robust collagen profile. Collagen types I, II, III, V, and X are derived from a diverse range of animal based sources including: grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine, wild caught Alaskan Pollock, eggshell membrane, chicken collagen, and chicken bone broth protein from free range chickens.  Collagen Type II is a significant part of your body’s cartilage, with naturally occurring hyaluronic acid for joint cushioning and lubrication. Type V collagen is found in the extracellular matrix of many tissues including skin, bones, and tendons.  Type X collagen is found in bone and joint cartilage.

Benefits of Multi Collagen:

Our Multi Collagen contains 5 types of collagen peptides that comprehensively play a key role in supporting hair, skin, nail, and joint health! While several nutrients are important for the natural production of collagen in the body, the most significant of these is vitamin C, which is a necessary cofactor in collagen synthesis. . Orgain's Multi Collagen also provides an excellent source of vitamin C from amla fruit to support the body's collagen production†.

How to take Multi Collagen:

- Timing: Multi-Collagen can be consumed any time of day; consistency is the most important element to help realize and maximize the benefits of multi collagen supplement powder!

- Mixing Tips: For cold drinks – Because collagen dissolves best in warm water, we recommend mixing the collagen peptides in a small amount of warm to room temperature liquid first and then add to cold beverage with ice to enjoy it cold. For hot drinks - We recommend pouring the hot liquid into the cup first, then adding the collagen peptides. This is key to prevent clumping.

We also recommend thoroughly stirring in the powder until it's fully dissolved. A blender, frother, or shaker bottle will help to fully incorporate the powder!

- Recipes: Collagen can even be added to soups, dressings, yogurts, and more. Click to view our recipes.
